Our newest initiative, Open Heritage Press, expands our publishing capacity by supporting original research, cultural works, and educational materials. Launched in 2025, it marks a bold step in sharing Maya voices with the world.
Created by anthropologist Dr. Lilia Lizama and illustrator Danilu Fernández, this 37-character bundle features original characters and educational profiles inspired by the story Amaru’s Journey. This unique resource introduces students to the rich heritage of Mississippian and Mesoamerican civilizations, their mythology, cultural symbols, and storytelling through interactive gameplay.
Perfect for celebrating Indigenous history, cultural appreciation, and interdisciplinary literacy in Social Studies, ELA, or Art classes!
